It will be alleged around 2.45am at Whitehorse Road a male passenger in a taxi became involved in an argument with the driver before chasing the driver from the vehicle. The man returned to the vehicle and it will then be alleged the interior of the taxi was set on fire. The taxi interior has been destroyed. A 27-year-old Dakabin man has been charged with arson and common assault. He is expected to appear at the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Monday. Robbery with violence, Redland Bay July 20, 2013 at 5:09 am Police are investigating after a taxi driver was assaulted and robbed at Redland Bay overnight. Around 1am the taxi drove a man from Hillcrest to Redland Bay before being directed to stop in a dead end street. The man then punched the driver in the face before taking the driver’s wallet and running off. The driver, a 25-year-old Logan Central man, suffered bruising to his face.
