Taxidermy Opossum pelt, male. Decently prime fur. Trapped and dispatched by a good friend (Frontier Furs/Ellie in Florida. Proper permits, etc, for trapping so no worries). Originally bought for $55 to practice on, but dont see myself getting to him. Tannery was rough with him sadly (hence his more so discounted original price), so hes missing lip/eye skin. Nice soft tan, skinned without anus but still pieces together nicely (shown in photos). Potentially mountable by a skilled taxidermist but am listing as just a full pelt. I cannot guarantee he would work as a mountable skin but hes still very nice. All flaws shown. Ears are cracked in areas but can be fixed. Typical skinning holes here and there, nothing bad. Slight thin areas here and there which isnt uncommon for opossums (at least to me lol). Soft fur. Natural scarring at base of tail. Off a 9.5-10lb male. Dispatch hole infront of ear which is shown. Feet are 100% just not inverted all the way out lol. Whiskers on left side of face not all there, will post better photo in comments. All in all nice pelt. Has been sitting on a shelf on one of my coyote pelts. Only had for a few months, came here mere weeks after being finished from the tannery. Has been used a few times for educational purposes so held and petted on a few times. I Do have pets, has not directly come into contact with them. Smokers in the house, but has not come in contact with direct smoke, etc. I can ship priority mail or you can pick up. Located in Gadsden AL. Will take $45 obo or trade. Interested in rabbits (would need to be docile enough for daily handling as I use my rabbits for educational purposes with kids, so nippy behavior is a no go) guinea pigs, large metal dog kennel (does not need tray), reptile related stuff, etc. Pretty open to trades but must pick up if offering live animal as I have no current form of transport.
