Taylors 1964 Single Harvest Port I have not tasted this wine and I am not 100% sure that I will yet I know that it has to be a special bottle of wine...not because it is expensive (which it is) but because it has aged for so very long (50 years). I do not work for Taylor Fladgate or get any compensation from them but I am posting this for two reasons. #1 - This special effort should draw a lot of attention and anything that draws attention to Port wine is important to me, something that I want to talk about. #2 - I think this is important because it may show other Portuguese producers a pathway to more success. Not that every producer should store wine for 50 years but that they need to do something special to stand out. They need to include in a message to wine lovers that their wine is also special because of...(please fill in the rest of the line yourself). It is not enough (anymore) to make high quality wine...every producer who hopes to stay in business is doing this...determine what makes your wine special and tell that story (as often as you can)! taylor.pt/en/catalogue/port-wine/very-old/1964/single-harvest/#portwine
