Teach your Child to help needy The Prophet (sall Allahu alaihi - TopicsExpress

Teach your Child to help needy The Prophet (sall Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The one who looks after a widow and a poor person is like the Mujahid in the cause of Allah, or like the one who fasts all the day and stands (in prayer) all the night.” [Jami at-Tirmidhi] Taking care of the needs of weak or poverty-stricken people is like constantly remaining in a state of worship. There are levels of worship and different acts are rewarded differently. Providing for widows and orphans, who are very vulnerable members of society, has been likened to fasting during the day and staying up during the nights in prayer. Suppose you provide the meals for a widow and her young orphaned children for a week. While you eat during the day and sleep comfortably during the night, Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will reward you for fasting that entire week and staying up all night long in prayer for every one of its nights.
