Teaching is like marriage. It is an inviolable contract that should always be respected by both the mentor and the mentee. In this binding document, the basic conditions are the following: 1. It is a mutual relationship. 2. The teacher is strongly tied to the students because he shares a part of him to them and they share a part of them to him. 3. The teacher is not the absolute boss. There is a conduit for checking and balancing the scale. 4. Due process is observed in the course of teaching. Students can exercise their right to be heard and no final grade should be given without benefit of just trial regarding students performance. 5. Preponderance of evidence is also observed since students has the right to cross-examine what is being done by the teacher. This is the reason why I chose this path-- the path of mutuality between learners who are eager to understand each other. If you have failed to honor the above-mentioned conditions, reflect and try to ask yourself this very simple question: what have I done? #TeachersDay
