Team Beatson we are delighted to tell you about our fantastic new tea trolley service which we have introduced to all day patients at the Beatson. The service offers a free hot drink with a tasty biscuit and is being run through the mid-morning and mid-afternoon on Monday to Friday. It is currently being provided to patients and family members visiting the outpatients department, clinical trials unit and pharmacy waiting area on level 1. We spent time with our lovely wellbeing centre assistants Tracey and Linda, along with volunteers Gillian and Kate who showed us how the service works and it is proving to be a massive hit with patients and family members who sometimes have to wait a very long time before their appointments. Sinead Connolly, Cancer Care Pharmacist at the Beatson said: “I have worked at the Thursday outpatient myeloma clinic in area 4 at the Beatson for a long time. I would just like to both congratulate and thank you for the new tea/coffee service.
