NEWS FROM THE ANIMAL SHELTER: I spoke with them at 10 am Friday 26th. Beau is doing fine. They took him for a slow leash walk this morning so he could do his business. They told me he is so well house broken that he does everything he can to avoid soiling his kennel. This is good to know. When a dog behaves that way in a shelter, the workers would usually rather walk the dog than clean the kennel. They are feeding him Pedigree, which they said someone had donated for him. So, there is a possibility that they may actually feed him the food he receives. I spoke with the animal nutritionist I use and under Beaus circumstances, (heartworm treatment after significant weight loss) he recommended a high calorie, high protein, nutrient dense formula like Orijen. Its on the expensive side, but if anyone could send some of that, that would be helpful. Beau has lost enough weight that he has lost muscle mass and he needs the extra protein. My guy said chicken jerky as a treat would also be good. So far so good. It was apparent that the young lady I spoke with has no idea what the controversy is surrounding Beau. They have gotten a lot of phone calls this morning. She asked me why. I want to keep the spotlight shining on them so they know people are keeping an eye on them. SEND THEM FOOD WITH LITTLE NOTES; PLEASE FEED BEAU. PLEASE ASK THE MAYOR TO SPEND THE MONEY ON HELPING ANIMALS, NOT ON LAWYERS TO KILL THEM. Thanks. We Are Beau Strong.
