Team Lead (2nd and/or 3rd shift) - Automotive Manufacturing Assembly Job Description: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1-5 years experience in manufacturing and/or assembly operations. Team lead, back-up team lead, or back-up supervisory experience in a high-volume, assembly/manufacturing environment is required. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. GED or diploma is required. Pay rate is $16.81 per hour plus 3% shift differential. Candidates MUST be able to work OT and weekends as required. Position requires passing a physical and a 5-panel hair test (drug screen) SUMMARY To provide guidance and support to all operators with in assigned assembly line and ensure that line is operating affectivity and efficiently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. •Perform daily LPA audits and quality checks as required •Assist with troubleshooting of line issues and elevate to maintenance and supervisor as required. •Maintain tooling & fixtures as appropriate. •Support daily production plan •Assist in the implementation of new programs, processes, and tooling trials. •Support continuous improvement activities including safety, quality and productivity for all assembly lines •Delegate labor to work stations on the line and ensure compliance with work instructions and control plans •Ensure documentation of work center training on appropriate form and accurate maintenance of training matrix for assigned assembly lines •Ensure assignment of labor consistent with documented operator training (assignments should be in line with training forms and training matrix) •Support enforcement of company policies and employee handbook •Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety policies Qualifications/Competency: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Physical Demands/Work Environment: The ability to work in a manufacturing assembly environment.
