Team Zerek, Singapore, introducing BARRA-X and LONG TRAIL of Zerek *SWCS (*Salt Water Craft Series). We have decided to put these 2 lures to test in one of Singapore’s favourite C&R pond – Fishing Paradise. The first lure which was to put to test is the LONG TRAIL. Being designed in an aerodynamic shape, hence allowed anglers to achieve desirable distance even in an adverse windy situation. During retrieve, Long Trail swims suspending between 0.6-0.9m below the water surface, and rise slowly during pause. Due to its slim body profile, Long Trail resemble a bait fish and transform into a disoriented baitfish when work with twitches and jerks during retrieve. Long Trail comes in 2 different sizes, anglers have the options to choose from 130mm (16.5g) and/or 170mm (27.5g). The next lure which was put to test is the BARRA-X. Zerek Innovation cultivate the most stringent form, fit and function requirements during the design phase of this lure, so that both experience and beginner anglers could enjoy the full potential of Barra-X. Any anglers casting the Barra-X would be impressed with its castability and distance achieved, this is done positive because of its magnetic weight transfer system. Team Zerek, Singapore considered Barra-X as one of the most volatile lure because of its swimming actions. Barra-X swims suspending between 0.8-1.2m below the water surface, and capable to present a wide wobbling action during constant retrieve, or walk the dog action in sub surface when flipping of the rod during retrieve. Barra-X comes in 3 different sizes from both sinking and floating models, anglers have the options to choose from 75mm (8g). 100mm (14g) and/or 120mm (22g) During the test, Team Zerek, Singapore landed a decent size toman on a 170mm Long Trail, and a decent size RTC on a 120mm Barra-X. We also highly recommend SureCatch Gallent Braided Line and SureCatch Fluoromax Fluoro Carbon leader, as these line are incredible strong, smooth and reliable with good knot strengths. Within the short span of 3 hours, SWCS lures not only are proven to be productive in saltwater applications, the freshwater fishes also finds SWCS lures irresistible too.. Tackles used during the test: Rod – Zerek Naginata, 6’8”, 10-20 Leader – 30 lbs SureCatch Fluoromax Fluoro Carbon Leader Lure - 170mm Long Trail (toman) and 120mm Barra-X (Redtail Cat)
