Teams drop players guys. Any business drops an employee when production isnt where it needs to be. You win in the NFL by acquiring young, fresh talent. No player will ever stay in your team forever. Why are people SO angry with the panthers for getting rid of a wide receiver who is on his way out if the league? Smith still makes a few good plays, but in todays NFL you need your number 1 receiver to be a threat on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Im sorry, but Steve Smith is my all time favorite player and he is NOT an EVERY PLAY threat anymore. Ask Peyton Manning how this works.
