Teaser trailer for based-on-a-true-story film BIRI GYARU starring Kasumi Arimura. Movie is based on a nonfiction novel by Nobutaka Tsubota who runs a private institute in Tokyo. In the film BIRI GYARU, Kasumi Arimura plays Sayaka Kudo. Her character is a high school student, but her characters scholastic scores reflects someone at the elementary school level. Furthermore, Sayaka Kudo is part of a subculture of girls known as gyaru, sporting dyed blonde hair and having zero interest in school and work. She then meets a teacher at a private institute who gives her positive encouragement for the first time in her life. Sayaka Kudo eventually applies to prestigious Keio University.
