Tech News: Android 4.4.3 Leaks, To Be A Pure Bug Fix Release. The first sightings of Android 4.4.3 has emerged. Being a point update, it looks like Google is not introducing anything major for this update, but rather Android 4.4.3 will purely be a “bug fix release”. A tip sent to Android Police indicates that the update is already being tested on some developers’ Nexus 5 smartphones, indicated with the screenshot below. It is said that the update will address several dozen bugs on the system, which is at version 4.4.2 currently, including multiple Bluetooth fixes, camera fixes and plenty other miscellaneous fixes. Here are just some of the bug fixes that will arrive in Android 4.4.3: *frequent data connection dropout fix *mm-qcamera-daemon crash and optimization fixes *camera focus in regular and HDR modes fixes *Power Manager display wakelock fix *multiple Bluetooth fixes *fix for a random reboot *app shortcuts sometimes got removed from launcher after update *USB debugging security fix *app shortcuts security fix *Wi-Fi auto-connect fix *other camera fixes *MMS, Email/Exchange, Calendar, People/Dialer/Contacts, DSP, IPv6, VPN fixes *stuck in activation screen fix *missed call LED fix *subtitle fixes *data usage graph fix *Internet telephony fix *FCC compliance fix *miscellaneous fixes As this is a very early leak of the update, there is not yet any timeframe for the release for other Android smartphones. Also, I can expect to see more changes to the above list when it is eventually released to the public.
