Tech question: I need to replace my flasher/turn signal relay in - TopicsExpress

Tech question: I need to replace my flasher/turn signal relay in my 68. It’s the little black box #953-227A. I ordered the part from Karmann Ghia Parts & Restoration and they sent me #953-227B (second pic). I called to verify and they are insistent that this is the proper replacement part because the after market 953-227A (little blue box) is crap. Has anyone used this part to replace the little black box??? If so, is this an easy install? My mechanic looked at it and said that it is more work to figure out the wiring.
