Ted: Gods answered my/our prayers so far... Im asking for Him to do more for Him. Infectious Control came in this morning & stated that he needs to have his upper lobe taken out. The tissue is diseased & dying & doesnt prove to be a good thing to keep in there. The problem is that Ted cannot tolerate it at this time. They said the mortality rate is high, but it would be his best chance at recovering. They are going to continue to talk about it & decide when the perfect window is. He hasnt even waken up yet!!! They are weening him off the vent, & stopped the blood pressure med. If he stays ok for at least an hour, they will use the intermitant dialysis machine that takes more fluid off at a time. What an ordeal this has turned out to be. Neither one of us bargained for it!
