Ted and I stopped traffic for some fellow natives, we humans call birds, to cross the street. It was a Family of 4 cranes ~ We stopped to help because one of the babies almost ran out in front of a car who was speeding by, didnt even care that he just about killed a baby.... At 1st Mom and Dad did not know what to make of Ted and I and ran in the completely opposite direction. Once they realized that we were there to help them, they came close to where we were and we stopped the cars for them to cross. Really neat experience for two different species, not communicating the same language, to be able to successfully complete a task so important :) As the parents walked into the wooded area and away from the street with their children, they even looked back at Ted and I, just as if they were thankful for the help ~ and I thank God for moments life this
