Ted had a decent night after a bit of excitement early on just at nurse shift change. He still has a lot of physical strength, and when he wants something, he wants it right then, even if he cannot have it as per his doctors. Vanilla Bean ice cream, ice water, and something to drink are his most requested items, though he cannot have any of them or anything else by mouth. Going into our third week without anything by mouth. Saying no to Ted is like saying no to a raging bull. Levels are still high, but the good news is that he is keeping this new formula inside his body. If we can get this to continue and no new issues come on the scene, he may make it. We are getting accustomed to living at UTMB and so appreciate those of you who have made the effort to come by and visit. Our first honored guests of the day were our neighbors, Rusty and Becky Cluck. So glad to see Rusty motoring down the hall on his own power after a tough few days with open heart surgery. Jamie and Ladell, Ted asked me last night if you two were coming back, so he did remember that you were here. Jim Denys, I have a confession to make to you - I ate the chocolate bar in a moment of weakness, but I have been good to Ted so I figured I qualified.
