Teddy is a 4 year old tri-color male pittie who is ready for his forever home. I rescued him out of the Stockton Shelter a month or so ago after learning a little insider information about him. His shelter picture was horrendous. His entire face bloody and covered in scars and scabs. One would only assume seeing a dog like that, that he had been used for fighting or as a bait dog. Luckily I came across someone who actually knew him and he in fact was just a basic backyard dog. He was being housed with another unaltered male dog, a huge Rottie who wasnt the nicest of dogs. The Rottie, day after day would attack poor Teddy while the owners would sit inside their home ignoring the fact that Teddy was being attacked over and over again. A neighbor had finally had enough of witnessing the fights and neglect and threatened the owners to involve authorities. Next thing you know, Teddy arrives at the Stockton shelter as a stray and the future looked very grim. I had secretly already fallen in love with that bloody muzzled pittie face and once the story came together, I knew I had to get him out of there. No dog, looking the way he did, would make it past the stray hold. When I went to pull him, I walked over to his kennel with shelter staff and they looked at me like I was crazy. This dog, they asked? Are you sure?? I knelt down to Teddys level and stared into those big brown eyes and said...Yes...this is the one. Fast forward to today and although the dog I picked up that day was completely broken, I cant even begin to tell you how loving and affectionate this boy is. Hes quiet and patient. Doesnt ask for much except a spot next to you on the couch. He is great with the little dogs and is good with the big guys. Each day he comes more and more out of his shell. Hes potty trained, walks well on a leash, spoons my son and rides great in the car. There not much more anyone could want from a dog. Hes perfect. If you would like to add Teddy to your family, please let me know. He deserves a home of his own. Although he is happy here and we love having him, there are other dogs who need me. He is currently with me in Livermore. Please share to help me find Teddys perfect home.
