Teddy, now Sheldon, has a real family! Picture of a terrified dog at animal control cowering in fear is the only picture I seen of him, and I immediately wanted to get him safe. Art is so great he agreed soon as he seen his picture too. Once pull was arranged we arrived to see him still terrified, huddled in the corner on the cold concrete floor, no bed or blanket, although beds were there for the dogs, they were outside the kennels leaning up against the wall in the back. I had to pick him up with a blanket in case he would snap, he was so scared and to think he had spent all the time he was at AC in that state of fear is heartbreaking. His rescue ride where by the time we got home he had gone from trembling mess to nudging my hand to keep petting him and relaxed. His first bath to remove the thousands of fleas. Now the very, very best! A new real family to love him!! He hit the jackpot, a great couple who are so very excited to have not just a furry best friend but a rescued dog who they expect may require a bit of training knowing dogs need time, attention and training. I just love people who understand even the very best dogs always need some time, and most at least some training when they leave where-ever they are and go to a new home. :)
