Teddy rockn off leash remote collar place and down in my home. As his adrenaline rises he becomes more distracted and unable to hold commands which is why I keep my verbal praise very chill. Using an overly excited energy to train an overly anxious and excitable dog is frustrating and the dog honestly does not learn during the training session. The adrenaline prevents the dog from connecting the concepts during the exercise. Teddys owners started out using food and excitement to teach him commands, and ultimately ended up having their veterinarian put him on anti-anxiety medication because he was crippled with anxiety and too excited to follow through with any of the commands they requested from him. Low level remote collar training keeps the training calm, and ensures Teddy is learning during each training exercise. He has never been more reliable or relaxed during a training exercise.
