Teen Challenge of Illinois presents “The Door of Hope: Empowering Women…Restoring Families” with guest speaker, former MLB All Star player and 4 time World Series Champion, Darryl Strawberry and his wife Tracy Strawberry. October 10th, 2013 in Decatur at 6:30p.m. Teen Challenge will hold their Annual Fall Banquet at the Mt. Zion Convention Center in Mt. Zion, IL. This event is held to benefit the Teen Challenge of Illinois, a non-profit organization that is a faith based treatment program to help individuals over life-controlling behavior. Their vision is to see men and women, boys and girls, become productive citizens and discover their purpose in life. On October 10th, Darryl Strawberry, a former Major League Baseball Player will be the guest speaker of their annual event. Darryl Strawberry is a former American League Baseball outfielder throughout the 1980s and 1990s. During his 17 year career, he helped lead the New York Mets and New York Yankees to a World Series Championship. Today, Darryl travels with wife Tracy speaking to groups of people around the country delivering a message of hope, strength, and practical ways of how to change and empower your life.
