Teenage girl indecently assaulted – Emerton Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was indecently assaulted at Emerton yesterday. About 10.30am yesterday (Sunday 22 June 2014), a 14-year-old girl was inside a store of a shopping centre on Bunting Street when a man approached her and started a conversation. Police have been told the man asked her personal questions before indecently assaulting her. The teenager left the store and informed her mother of the incident, before they reported the matter to police. Detectives from Mount Druitt LAC - NSW Police Force commenced an investigation and have released a description of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries. The man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, over 183cm tall, with a muscular build.
