Sarah Greenaway, 17, had to be taken to hospital when she contracted a serious infection after using the DIY cosmetic glue from Boots. ‘It was very frightening – I was crying in pain, it was so scary,’ said the teenager from Pontypool, South Wales. She added: ‘Doctors didn’t know then if they’d saved my finger. They said it might still have to be amputated.’ The teenager suffered a further ordeal when she caught the MRSA bacterial infection while in Newport’s Royal Gwent Hospital.
