Teenagers get a raw deal when it comes to cancer treatment. They have worse survival outcomes than children and are often over looked by charities as they arent as cute as kids. Although we totally disagree! Getting cancer at any age is horrid; but its especially horrid as a teenager. Remember when you were that age? Or maybe your are now? All that stuff going on - imagine having to deal with a cancer diagnosis on top of all that. Losing your hair, unable to go clubbing because you feel so awful and, as we know, not all young people survive. Our charity has been set up because we loved Chloe so much and wanted to do something positive in her name. But now we are moving to our next stage. With Chloe in our hearts we will continue to push the health industry to ensure that they do a better job for our precious young people. We will work closely with our friends and colleagues around the world. And closer to home we are working in partnership with the Royal Marsden and the wonderful charity CLIC Sergeant to make teens feel a little more special when they get that dreaded diagnosis.
