Hot Jazz DJANGO – 8th January, 9pm, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 27 Shaul Hamelech Street, tickets 03-5733001, 104ILS American jazz vibraphonist Warren Wolf Jr. and pianist Aaron Diehl will be joining Israels top jazz artists to perform in Tel Aviv. The two talented musicians bring with them a touch of 60s traditional jazz. They will be playing the works of the legendary 60s Modern Jazz Quartet which was lead by the great Milt Jackson and pianist John Lewis. Free guided tours 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 1pm. This exhibition tells the story of singer Amy Winehouse from her birth in 1983 to her tragic death in 2011. The exhibition is the creation Amys brother Alex Winehouse in collaboration with the Jewish Museum London. It focuses on her Jewish roots and family life as well as her career. There will be many photographs and Amys personal mementos on display Israeli Andalusian Orchestra of Ashdod – 21st and 26th January, 8:30pm, Tel Aviv Art Museum, Tickets 1 800 693 693 The 2014-2015 season of concerts by the Andalusian Orchestra will include flamenco music, the sounds of Maghreb and Andalusian poetry. Guest singers will join the orchestra including Israels David DOr and international guest performers. The orchestra plays both traditional Arab-Andalusian instruments and classical European musical instruments. LOW in Israel 2015 – 26th January, 8:30pm, Barby, 52 Derech Kibuts Galuyot, Tel Aviv, tickets 160ILS-139ILS The American indie rock band Low is bringing their unique musical style to Tel Aviv. The band features Alan Sparhawk, Mimi Parker and Steve Garrington on bass guitar. Lows slowcore music has a relaxed tempo and uses haunting harmonies. They will perform their best known songs like California and Blue Christmas as well as hits from their 2013 album The Invisible Way.
