#Teledoc has now been in operational for about one month now. As a reminder Teledoc is using text, pics, and or voice to describe your childs problem and based upon this information I can make a diagnosis and treatment plan. The charge for teledoc is either $35 or $50 dollars depending on the complexity of the problem. Teledoc is not to take the place of an office visit during regular office hours but does provide you an option after hours, weekends, or when you are traveling. Majority of medical problems (usually not trauma-however a lot of mild trauma can usually wait until the next day) that you would take your child to urgent care can be handled via Teledoc. I think so far that the parents have utilized Teledoc have been happy and in majority of times that the Teledoc charge is less than an urgent care copay. Over the past week have called in meds to Maine, North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and of course Tulsa. Teledoc will continue to evolve and will begin to incorporate FaceTime and Skype soon. #teledoc #drraley
