Head of Network Sourcing Department Summary Job Purpose: As part of Telenor Group’s setup of a new mobile operation in Myanmar, we are looking for strong and experienced candidates into the Sourcing management team. The position as Head of Network Sourcing’s key responsibility during the preparation and launch phase will be to perform contract and vendor management towards the key strategic vendors awarded to build and operate the Network infrastructure in Telenor Myanmar. Furthermore to establish the new Network Sourcing function and align it with the company’s requirements and overall Global Sourcing strategies. The position will report to Head of Sourcing in Telenor Myanmar. Principal Accountabilities : Recruit, develop and lead the Network Sourcing team. Build a strong contract and vendor management function to manage key supplier relationships within Myanmar, in terms of cost, quality, time and risk management. Special follow-up of rollout activities during the launch phase. Establish an efficient working relationship with Telenor Myanmar Technology management to ensure alignment on demand management Implement and manage procurement processes and systems for effective sourcing across the domain Develop local vendor market in key categories, to ensure sufficient competence and competition going forward Work as part of the Global Sourcing organization with strong coordination of sourcing activities across the Telenor Group. Qualifications : Minimum of 10 years of relevant Network sourcing experience Strong vendor management capabilities and experiences Experienced negotiator, also towards large global vendors Proven management skills, ability to get teams work and deliver results Excellent strategic mindset seeing the total picture and having operational business understanding of e.g. market drivers, risk analysis, supplier relations A strong analyst with the ability to structure and analyze complex tasks Strong leader with high integrity and accountability Forward leaning and personal drive The ability to challenge and actively seeking new ideas and opportunities An excellent team player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships Proactive and flexible, prepared to work under pressure when circumstances require it Goal oriented and a commercial mindset More about Telenor : For more than 155 years, Telenor Group has enabled customers to experience the many benefits and opportunities of communications services in their daily lives.
