Teleperformance leads Marikina River cleanup. Manila, Philippines—June 18, 2013 –Teleperformance, the leading global provider of outsourced customer experience management services,in cooperation with the local government of Marikina City, recently initiated river cleanup and tree-planting activities along the Marikina Riverbanks. More than50Teleperformance employeesvolunteeredin collectingplastic waste and other non-biodegradablematerials from the river and its surrounding areas.This activity is part of Teleperformance’s celebration of Environment Month this June, and is aimed atpreventing the river from overflowing during the rainy season caused by the high volume oflitter that obstructs the waterways. Aside from cleaning the river, the Teleperformance team planted some 200 Calumpit treesaround the watershed. The tree-planting and river cleanup activities areamong the many projects of the Citizen of the Planet (COTP), the environmental corporate social responsibility arm of Teleperformance.Through COTP, a portion of the Marikina Riverbankshas been adopted by Teleperformance. This initiative will continue to allow Teleperformance volunteers to conduct cleaning and greening activities on the riverbank every quarter each year. Jeffrey Johnson, Vice President for Human Capital Resource Management of Teleperformance Philippines,was among the volunteers and expressed enthusiasm of the company’s environmental protection efforts. “Teleperformance reaffirms our commitment not only to provideoutstanding service to our clients, but also to give back to our communities.
