Televised Revolution Watch List (Peoples Choice) for the Worst Episode of Television 2014 goes to Dr Who S08E7 Kill the Moon. Runners up: Gotham S01E01 Pilot, How I Met Your Mother S09E23 & E24 Last Forever Part 1 and Part 2, Homeland S04E02 Trylon and Perisphere, True Bloom S07E10 Thank You. Dr Who Season 8 quickly established its tone and felt far more assured than any post-regeneration season should be at this stage. But after Moffats excellent Listen, it felt like Capaldi had been playing the character for much longer than the episode count would suggest. It isnt so much that Kill the Moon is the worst episode that aired this season, it certainly is not perfect, but it was polarising. The chief problem is the plot twist around what the moon actually is, and you will either be fine with it or it will make you roll your eyes. Kill the Moon had a lot of great elements that never quite gel together and in my opinion the vote represents disappointment from a group that has been quite fond of the Doctors adventures this year.
