The resort’s general manager, Natalie Marletta, confirmed this on Friday. “Go Indie TV, a TV station based in the US, streams throughout USA, Canada and Europe. It will be featuring the pageant live throughout to millions and millions of viewers through TV to those three countries,” she said. Mrs Marletta has just returned from New York and met the TV station’s chief executive officer Gregg Cannizzaro to confirm the partnership. “He is actually coming out in November for the pageant, for the week and they are featuring commercials on the property and focusing on Fiji in general and following up for the pageant as well,” she said. She said that despite the strong competition with various countries and stakeholders, the resort has been chosen to host this year’s pageant again. “We have just been confirmed as host of the supermodel pageant, so this is the third year in a row we are hosting the pageant. “There was quite a bit of competition this year within Fiji. Actually there were a few properties from Denarau who wanted to host the pageant also. So we were lucky enough to have it come back to us,” she said. “We will be having models from Australia, hopefully New Zealand and we are also thinking of including Papua New Guinea,” she said. Models will be arriving on November 23 and the crowning will be on the 29. [email protected]
