Television news is one of few professions where you dont have to have an education, credentials, experience or any substantive qualifications to get in. It used to not be that way. The industry has been dumbed-down. Thats one of the main reasons I got out. When you or a loved one are sick, you want the best doctor money can buy. Parents often move into certain areas so their kids can go to the best school district, with the best teachers. If youre in trouble, you want the best lawyers, etc., etc. But in television, the best is no longer required. Anybody can get it. Its no longer an honorable profession. How sad.
