Tell your friends with 3rd gen 1986-1989 Preludes. We are going to be making adapter shortly for after market B series intakes. Here is the newest 3D model of the Prelude B series to newer B series. By far the best match is a B18a1 (not vtec) manifold. Almost all the holes line up, other than 4. The port sizes are much different, as the Prelude B has a very odd port compared to any other B, but through extensive helical lollipop 3D port blending the flow will be great. I am going to throw together a one off soon, the protos usually run me about 300 to cut. (lots of programming and set-up). The reason I didnt go with the GSR mani or B16 is simply this reason...conflicting holes. In order to use a GSR or B16 I would have to 1, make overlapping clocked fasteners (hard to do) OR make a multi-plate design, which is viable but a little more expensive and requires the use of two different plates. The first plate would mount to the block, the Second plate would mount to the 1st and have fasteners for the interfering holes. So really its up to you guys, I would prefer to make it a single plate design. There are plenty of after market B18a1 intake manifolds. Let me know what you think. The single plate design will reduce cost as well, and as always the plate will come indexed for NO2. Pictures below show a model of the overlap (not the blending) and also a blended manifold for the D16a1 to New D series that I already make.
