Tells of horror and disenfranchisement by The victims of bodhay as county Government moves to extends support: Residents of Bodhai location, Garissa County are calling for enhanced security surveillance as suspected al-shaabab launched the second attack yesterday 72 hrs after an earlier one. The locals who are cutoff from the rest of the County due to poor infrastructure including bad roads and communication network, are now asking for beefedup security with more security personnel including KPR posted to the arear. They also requested Safaricom to fufill the community social responsibility by installing network facilities so that they could easily communicate with the rest of the world as fresh attack occured. Unlike on Monday attack where two police officers got light injuries, police vehicle burnt and houses torched, no casualties were reported in yesterday fresh attack. Meanwhile, Governor Nathif Jama county administration has donated food stuff worth about sh. 1.5 million to the victims of the attack. It includes 150 bags of 25kg sugar, 150 bags of 25kg rice, 150 bales of maize flour, 150 bales of wheatflour, 150 satches of salt and 150 five litre jerrican of cooking oil. In a statement through,The Government press service,Governor Nathif Jamaa vowed to support the long forgotten boni community, saying that plans are underway to provide fencing facilities to the exposed police post which has so far remained without fencing for so long, to a void further loopholes of attack that may generate fear to the neighbouring community. o though security is not devolved,its the responsibility of each and.every individual to insure that peace is the only option that can make a society to progress,and urged all leaders to be part of this initiative Jamaa said. Chief Officers Ibrahim Aden and Abdullahi Diis with the governors communication team handed over the food to the security heads at Bodhay police post and the resident separately.
