Ten Terms invented by Andrew D. Basiago to describe Different Aspects of Time Travel Alpha timeline: The time line that one is on before time traveling to an alternate time line called the beta timeline. Ordinarily, the time line that one is on from the time of ones birth. Artificial holographic planetary domain: The seemingly terrestrial environment of a micro-Universe built by an advanced intelligence to simulate conditions on Earth or on a planet elsewhere in the Universe. See “synthetic quantum environment” or “SQE.” Chrononaut: A time traveler; a time-space explorer on Earth; an astronaut using time travel technology to explore outer space. Independent relative causation: The paradox that results when one acts in the present based on foreknowledge of a future event, so that the present causes the future event and the future causes the present event. See circular causation or “the snake-eating-its-tail” phenomenon. Micro-slip: A transient quantum event in which one moves from ones alpha time line onto an adjacent time line that is virtually identical, with the net result that when one moves back onto ones alpha time line, one recognizes discrepant data, such as the death or non-death of a celebrity. Proto-causation: The causation that results when a time traveler travels to the future and causes an effect. In this situation, the paradox is that the future effect is caused to happen before its time. See Retro-causation: The causation that results when a time traveler travels to the past and causes an effect. In this situation, the paradox is that the effect precedes the cause and the time traveler from the future fulfills the event by traveling to it. Quantum access: The use of time travel technology to gather information at a past or future location in time-space. Quantum displacement: The condition of one being situated on a time loop as a result of one teleporting from Point A to Point B, staying at Point B for a period of time, and then teleporting back to Point A so as to arrive shortly after one originally teleported to Point B. The net effect of this phenomenon is that the time spent at Point B exists outside of ones alpha time and one is biologically older than ones historical age because of time spent at Point B. Synthetic quantum environment (SQE): A domain in time-space in which an advanced intelligence has built an artificial micro-Universe simulating past or present conditions on Earth or elsewhere in the Universe. See “fold in the time-space continuum” as defined by the Apollo astronauts. Transplicity: The nature of a holographic Universe that is physically finite but that contains an infinite stream of event scenarios called time lines. Such a Universe has characteristics of both a finite and an infinite reality. See “Multiverse” with its finite, Matrix-driven bounds of functionality but seemingly infinite supply of event scenarios occurring on a multitude of time lines.
