Ten days to go--then ETTA MAE will be on the shelves and in your mailbox (if youve pre-ordered)! On August 19th, the first signing will be here in Hendersonville along with something a little different. Well be meeting, not at The Fountainhead Bookstore, but about 3 blocks up Main Street at the Skyland Art Center where there will be a live interview with Q & A from the interviewer and from the audience. There will be plenty of seats, but do get there by 5:00 so we can start on time, then have book signings afterward. I am so looking forward to this! In the meantime, though, I am busily preparing to go on tour the following morning--and you know what it takes to get ready to leave home even for just two weeks. Please do check the missjulia website, click on the Tour Page, and see if Im scheduled to be anywhere near you. I would love to see you if you can possibly come out. For those of you who live in the Atlanta area, I will be interviewed on Atlanta & Company, WXIA-TV on on Monday, August 25 sometime between 11 am and noon, then Ill be at the Dekalb County Public library that evening at 7:00 pm. And for those in the Memphis area, there will be another television interview on Good Morning, Memphis, on WHBQ-TV sometime between 9 and 10 am on Thursday, August 28, with a signing event later that day at Booksellers at Laurelwood at 6:30 pm. The only other interview--an hour of discussion--will be recorded in Memphis by Book Talk at WYPL-FM, but I dont know when that will air. Besides those cities, I will be stopping at Winstone-Salem, Raleigh, and Cary in North Carolina, then on to Birmingham, and from there to Oxford, MS, ending up in Knoxville, Asheville, and Forest City. So I have a busy two weeks of touring ahead, but sometimes the week of preparation beforehand is more hectic than the actual trip. Getting to see so many of you, though, is worth every effort! Ann
