Ten years ago in October I picked up my 05 545i BMW from the factory in Munich. I took a ten day vacation breaking it in and visiting friends. Got hammered with Harry and Lydia in Augsburg to kick off the tour. Headed north and finally had to stop for gas at an Autobahn Tankstelle. Could not find the lock release for the gas tank door. After about 5 minutes I asked a fellow traveler if he knew where the lock release was. He gave me a bit of an odd look, walked to the right rear quarter panel, pushed the gas tank door with one finger and it popped open. Boy did I feel like a dumb ass.
