Ten years ago today.....I lost my husband, my best friend, my soulmate, my childrens father. My children lost their dad and biggest supporter. The youth of Wharton lost one of their best advocates and teachers. Who knows why things happen? I know this was a loss for us and the family and community at large. Mike was unique, gifted, funny, compassionate, dedicated and utterly devoted to us. Whether he was called Michael, Lobo, Mr. B, Captain, or Dad, he was there for us and he made a difference. I miss him every day and mourn the loss of our future days together. Fortunately I found a good man to be my companion or Id be totally lost. Mike, we will never forget you, you will always be remembered and missed. The impact you had on young lives, including Justin and Megan, will continue to make a difference in the future.
