Tender Thoughts, With Spice, By Robert R. Railey Even before the door of discovery was fully opened, we thought surely that the well had run dry: and to many of us, it seemed as though the words which were used to describe the feeling of love; had been said, many times over It’s also been said that the heart had heard but had not yet been breached, by its lower human misery: and which makes us wonder if strong, quite men ever think of love, or do they just pray for wanting; but for what they’re never quite sure But since men speak less of sweet caresses than women; must we refrain from showing tenderness? And must we also hide what’s in our hearts: for fear of false compassion? Or even worst, should we continue to dread that our most intrepid moments will somehow reveal our most inner selves? And yet, if we are ever going to change eternity, then we must first learn to speak openly of love; for as we all know, any given moment could be our last And what about hard and coarse men: should they not even apply? For is love such a well kept notion? And if so, then perhaps we should set aside more than just one day a week; to demonstrate our true-love and devotion But if done properly, the feeling that’s derived from such a deep commitment might just last throughout our days: and especially if it’s done with enough true emotion; and especially if we’re not too inundated, with the drama of our own promotions Even so, we are somewhat happy to find that small wonders still exist: such as when women gently stroke their arms and legs, or casually flip their hair: then of the charm, do they know of the power of show; even when the slightest movement can make it seem so? And yet, it seems that those suggestive motions might be less curious to some; but to men, it’s all we dream of Likewise, a furtive glance, on purpose or by chance, can stop a man in his tracts: and something as simple as a wicked smile will stoke the furnace of desire; which leads credence to the legend that a man would walk an extra mile just to see his lover’s smile Nonetheless, there’re no easy answers to the age-old riddle of trying to define what creates desire: excepting to say, that women were born to be vivacious and earthly; and that God gave them the power to form man’s destiny
