Tennessee Williams - previously unpublished short story found at U. of Texas-Austin. Apparently nobody really knew of its existence until recently. It is believed Crazy Night was written when TW was in his early 20s, since he was listed as author using his legal name of Thomas Lanier Williams. He was about 27 when he began signing his works Tennessee Williams. The story is about a short love affair with a girl name Annajean and in his journals from those years, he talks about various love affairs he had, but only a one line mention of a short love affair when he was in college with a fellow student named Annajean. Readers of Crazy Night think he was much more involved with the young woman than inferred in his journal. For my former students - Tennessee Williams is very famous and his best known play (he is known more as a playwright than novel or short story writer) is A Streetcar Named Desire. Vivian Leigh and Marlon Brando started in it many decades ago (Brando was Don Corleone in the Godfather movies - Im not sure my students would necessarily know the actors name).
