Tennis season underway On Wednesday 30th April, the 1st IV Senior Boys made the second of two journeys to Culford in a week for a second round match in the Aegon National Tennis Competition. Having lost to Culford B on Saturday, the boys were under no illusion as to how tough this fixture would be. As is often the case, playing against vastly higher rated players brings out the best in individuals. Jack Gawthrop served very well, James Walker was tenacious, Ander Ibinarriaga was encouraged to cover every inch of the court and Will Rix had an awkward match against a ‘left-hander’ with a rating 3.2! Despite our best efforts we were defeated on the day.
