Tennon was scheduled to have surgery to remove a hernia today but the pulmonologist found fluid on his lungs and so the surgery was cancelled. Now he is being treated for the fluid which could possibly change his discharge date from Monday December 22nd. Since mommy was all excited that he would be coming home on Monday, this news was disappointing and I allowed myself to have a “woe is me” moment with tears and the whole works. Then literally seconds after I got off the phone with my husband, Mila’s (Tennon’s partner in crime who passed away) mom, Maria, text to ask if he was home yet. I quickly dried my tears and changed my attitude to one of gratitude. Her baby isn’t coming home…..I can wait until however long it takes for my baby to come home healthy. #thankyouLord #perspective
