Tension Shackle Mystery - I sell Brooks saddles and parts at Wallingford Bicycle Parts. When it comes to parts, Brooks tension shackles arent a big seller. Tension pins, yes. Shackles, not so much. I had 6 tension shackles on the shelf for over a year without a sale. Then, in the last 3 weeks they have all been sold. What is going on? They dont usually break - thats what the pin does, mostly when saddle tension isnt maintained. Are they being repurposed for something? I cant figure it out.
