Tera Tali - Suva Devi will lead a Tera Tali workshop. Dancer and observer tickets are available! Tera Tali Dance is the dance of the Kamad Tribe. They are the worshipers of Baba Ramdev and perform the dance as a part of a ritual to propitiate their deity. They sing Bhajans and perform with Manjiras. Two or three women sit on the ground with Manjiras tied to different parts of the body of each of the dancers. The dancer’s head is covered with a veil and a small sword is supported between the teeth while decorated brass pots of various sizes are carried on the heads. The dancer carries a Manjira in each hand and strikes this in thirteen different ways. It is also believed that thirteen Manjiras are tied to the body from where the dance gets its name.
