Teresinka Pereira To Me Today at 5:46 AM May 24th 2014 Literature can survive in time as a statue can keep for centuries a beautiful shape in order to please the sight of future young intellectuals and artists. Kristaq F. Shabanis novel The Big Playing of Death reflects that sense of moral obligation of an author to write as a citizen who honors the heroes who rather die liberating their country than to live under oppression. It proves that the most advanced form of talent of the writer is to review primary facts of their time and show that at the end, peoples aspiration for justice and peace will win the heart of all humanity. It is a privilege to be present with my words at the celebration and the launch of a novel about the people who fell in the Kossovos War in 1999. Fifteen years have passed since then. As Cuban novelist Alejo Carpentier said once New worlds have to be lived before to be explained. Kossovo is a new country and it is time to be recognized by the rest of the world, as it is already by their country neighbor Albania and citizens like writer Kristaq F.Shabani. I salute the participants of this great event and celebrate with them the joy of reading the novel The Big Playing of Death which will be well known in Kossovo and in other countries.
