Terminology! I often hear people say there are real dreads and synthetic dreads. Synthetic has become a blanket term to mean extensions in general. But the word synthetic means artificial fibers, made with a chemical process. But with the existence of wool and alpaca dreads made of natural fibers, which are not synthetic, i just thought Id remind people to use more accurate and broader terms. Just call them dread extensions. Synthetic hair is only one of several materials you could use. ;P
