Terrible news from yesterday, so sad. A man died and a child was taken to hospital after a motorway crash in Wirral. Emergency services were called to reports that a car had left the M53 and struck the motorway embankment near Moreton Spur. The crash happened at around 11am on Sunday morning. The child was checked over in hospital but was found uninjured. The man, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Merseyside Police said officers are investigating the circumstances and informing the driver’s next of kin. All our thoughts with his family and friends at this time x
