Terrific turnout, well-deserved awards and a new board eager to do its part for HRRA in 2015 ... just some the highlights of todays Installation Luncheon and Awards Ceremony at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. Amy Rhodes, 2014 chairman of the board, passed the gavel to Rusty Hulett, who - after his installation by 2015 Virginia Peninsula Association of REALTORS 2015 President Dewey Hutchins - challenged members to advocate, volunteer and educate in the coming year. Also installed were Becky Claggett, chairman-elect; Susan Murphy, vice chairman of finance; Amy Rhodes, immediate past president; Terry Gearhart, Priscilla Lemoine and Gary Lundholm, executive committee at-large; and Dayla Brooks, Shirley Conner, Jennifer Cool, Mark Edwards, Tonya Feamster, Nikita Houchins, Jimmy Jackson, Tanya Monroe, Kimberly Plourde, Stacie Powell, Carolette Reisner, Brooks Sinnen and Carrie Williams, directors. Honorees were Ann Randolph, Lifetime Achievement Award; Affiliate Member of the Year, Kelley Carter, The Braun Agency; Affiliate Company of the Year, George Mason Mortgage LLC; REALTOR Volunteer of the Year, Tonya Feamster; Code of Ethics Award, Elaine Griffin; Rising Star of the Year, Sherry Snyder; and Broker/Manager of the Year, Shirley Conner. Norfolk Mayor Paul Fraim received HRRAs Housing Advocate of the Year Award. Recipients of the Chairmans Award for Outstanding Service, presented by the sitting chairman, were presented to Dorcas Helfant-Browning, Terry Gearhart and Becky Claggett.
