Terry Morris has asked me to post the following. On January 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm we will pay tribute by celebrating the life of one of British Columbias well known fishing icons. Lynne (Moe) Morris started in the Bearing Sea fishing halibut at 16 years of age and fished all points in between to the California Coast. He owned the Nasoga, Astronaut, Western Clipper, Pacific Horizon (1), and later built the Pacific Horizon (2) at ABD boats and fished her. He participated in the Halibut, Pilchard, Salmon, Herring, Krill, and bottomfish trawl fisheries. He was a fishing icon, known by the vast majority of the BC fishing industry. He was a great teacher to many of us, and most of all a great freind. We will miss him and his legacy will live on. Before his passing he was quoted as saying he was grateful for the great ride in commercial fishing. It was a very unique lifestyle and he felt very fortunate and proud to be such a part of it.
