Tesla is opening a showroom on Colorado Blvd in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. This would be illegal in Texas, New Jersey, Arizona, Maryland and Virginia, and is limited in Ohio which require auto manufacturers to sell only through local dealer franchises. Of course these are mainly red states, which is confusing to me. I thought the GOP are all about keeping governments hands off of free enterprise. I guess the exception would be when franchise owners are Republican and tie their political contributions to beneficial (to them) restrictions on free trade.
