Testimony Thursday-As I look back over the last 12 months of my life all I can do is thank God for keeping and protecting me. This testimony is both transparent and personal, but I dont mind sharing, because I know God has his hands on me. -October 2013-divorce finalized -October 2013- started testing for kidney transplant for my grandfather and to find out that I was a match. -December 2013-started to really focus on improving credit score in order to work toward owning my own home -February 2014-kidney transplant surgery for my grandfather -March 2014- my family had a kidney donation party for me -March 2014-severe car accident that totalled my car the day after the kidney donation party. -April 2014-went on my first cruise with my friends -April 2014- purchased a new car. Thankful that my credit had improved enough for me to get the car at a 2.1% interest rate. Great improvement from the 16% interest rate that I had when I purchased my other car in 2010. -April 2014-house hunting began -May 2014-found my first home -Beginning of June-found out that the fibroid tumors that I had for years was now affecting my only kidney. Went to a doctor and was informed that I had to have the fibroids removed, but most likely it would be a hysterectomy. I was basically told that I had a choice it was either to have kids in the future or to preserve my only kidney. Can you say I was beyond devastated. -June 2014-closed on my home. Found out after closing that someone had stolen my central air conditioning unit. -July 2014-moved into my first home. Can you say that it was smoking hot, since someone had stolen the ac unit, but thankful that I had the money to replace it. -July and August 2014-I began to research other fibroid treatment options as I did not accept the first report. -August 2014-I was referred to a doctor in Columbus. Lets just say that he was God sent. At my first appointment with him, I was reassured that removing fibroids and preserving the uterus was possible. I left the doctors office with so much joy and peace. -October 14, 2014-I had my second major operation this year, but Im grateful, because fibroids were removed, which alleviated pressure on my kidney. I said all that to say that Im thankful for the ups and downs of this past year. Im grateful that I dont look or feel like what I been through.
