Testimony: We were called last Thursday saying the bank in NC were pulling some things together 60days into our mortgage application and 21 days prior to closing; and they had decided I needed to go get all of my employment prerequisites completed for my employment contract with Vidant. So here my Mom and I go across the country in 2.5days to do physical, drug tests, tax paperwork, and tb testing. Grrrr- but whatever is needed for our new home! Then Wednesday we get a call at 3p as we are picking boys up from school saying our loan probably was going to be suddenly contingent on our Ohio home selling! We knew the builder was not going to hold our house off the market for 3 more months! We didnt realize that we selected an ultra conservative Grade A lender, we just went with the bank the hospital uses and they offer employees using direct deposit a 0.5% interest deduction on mortgages... Well- then they started getting nervous about our home in Ohio not selling before we close and threw out that they might change criteria for closing and make it contingent on Ohio home selling. Worries hit our home hard this week that we would NOT have a home to move to in 21days or a place to have our belongings delivered to by May 1st. I was in tears Wednesday afternoon, how could a bank pre approve everything and then change their minds 21 days to closing?!? We get home from picking up the boys and Lathan and Kevin are literally dancing around house singing loudly My God is so strong and so mighty, there is nothing my God can not do! They were so happy and loud, Isaiah and Joel get into the action finding a YouTube video of the song, now music is blaring and all 4 boys are singing and I come out of laying in our bedroom thinking the world was falling apart... and my boys are reminding me that LIFE IS GOOD! OUR GOD IS GOOD! A sense of peace comes over me, and I think of the many friends weve had relocate over the years and live in cramped apartments for 6-12mo in their new communities... what is the worse that happens. We go down over Spring Break and tour apartments and rent all storage unit. A call to my mom helps, and a friend from church emails us about a wonderful Nazareth Church in Greenville, which after visiting their website and listening to a sermon seems to be a wonderful option for our family to attend. This means we have a wonderful community we are moving to, a great job waiting, & now a church waiting for us to attend!!! Who needs a house {yikes... I have to admit, even looking with Cisco Wednesday night at some nice inexpensive apartment options, I still wanted my house- I love my little Winterville home!} Then, miracles happen! A bank grows a heart, three times its size that day! {Grinch stolen line, haha!} Late night calls from our lender to underwriters manager for waiver to go beyond FHAs preferred 43% debt to income ratio, our NC realtor did some running around to get a statement from builder that we gave $4,000 already in due diligence, our parents coming through in a BIG way in prayers and support and encouragement.... and a ton of prayers from our church family.... we learned yesterday that WE WILL GET OUR HOME IN NORTH CAROLINA not contingent on our Ohio home having sold yet!!!!! Our God was bigger than my worries, bigger than our problems- There was NOTHING OUR GOD COULD NOT DO!!!!! Thank you Mom & Chuck Cunningham, thank you Diane Rodden for leading prayers for our family, & thank you all who continue to lift our family up in your prayers and hearts!!!!
